Estimates range from 2200-2600 rwhp.The lowest max power output able to achieve was 1051rwph, as the waste gates and exhaust dumps can only flow a max amount of air from the turbos to reduce power.Turbos are custom Precision ball bearing water cooledThe turbos were designed for racing and as such flow best without air filters.Tested running the motor on the dyno with and without air filters. There is approx. 18% loss in power with air filters installed. The car does not currently have air filters and will require them in the event it is driven on the street or moved frequently over dirty surfaces. As you can see in the videos below, it is as stable as a rock.There are not many vehicles that can run 240 mph plus, and maintain stability. See for yourself, how little effort is needed to keep it racing through the mile at that speed.To experience such power and grace is something only a handful of people will ever do. Once experienced, its very hard to drive anything less, as it takes with it a piece of your soul. Those rare individuals, who get a chance to drive the Ballista, say the same thing.We dream about it Even months later, you wake up at night thinking about how awesome it was to drive!. The body is wrapped in carbon fiber vinyl. It is not a carbon fiber body replacement,but rather, a textured wrap over the original body. Carbon fiber is too smooth, and, We needed the ripples on the surface, for the stabilizing effect it provides at extreme speeds. The benefits of a carbon fiber skin are nothing compared to the strength of the safety cage enhanced frame. The weight savings offers little benefit beyond the 200mph mark.Based on power levels achieved already, gearing, and our rpm potential,the Ballista Twin Turbo can exceed 350 mph. You must remember however, it is being run in the standing mile, not in an all out top end race. Dont think we havent considered it, but the science involved is much different, and requires a custom tire design.It did however run 247 mph at the 3/4 mile mark, barely in 5th gear.In fact it was still accelerating at over 1g when the gear broke from our slightly over protective boost cut.BJ Motors has an extensive range of superb, low mile exotic and luxury automobiles.
