The theme for this car is not to have a catchy nick name but to truly embody what we had set out to do which was to build one of the most high quality, no-expense spared, show worthy, but purpose built Pro-Touring Camaro. The name “Ouroboros” means the circle of life. The logo of the car is the sign for "Ouroboros" which is a serpent eating its own tail. This represents the circle of life. This, along with a good starter car, was the foundation for the concept of this project build. The car was born and lived a life in 1969 as a standard Camaro, it was then killed by rust and was reborn as the Pro-touring God it was meant to be. After the car was purchased we stripped the car down to bare metal and the car was then sandblasted to be sure all rust was stripped from the body. We then ordered all new sheet metal for the car including: Front fenders, rear quarter skins, floor pans, hood, spoiler, trunk pan, etc…. The quarters, floor pans and trunk were replaced. Once we had a solid car with new metal, an 8-point roll cage was installed in the car. The car under went a complete rotisserie restoration. The cage runs along the doors without interference to driver or passengers. The cage has a removable cross bar and ties into the trunk for maximum chassis stiffness. The commission of a custom front subframe from Chubby’s Fabrication was built utilizing C4 Corvette A-arms and spindles allowing for a 9 inch wide wheel up front. The front suspension also has QA1 coilovers, Corvette anti-roll bar, and a LS1 rack and pinion, which is mounted to the subframe. In the rear a custom 4-link rear suspension with QA1 coil overs including pan hard bar and Moser Detroit true trac 3:55 31 spline axle, 1350 yoke, 9 inch support all 800 tire shredding horsepower. On all four corners the car sports Baer 2 piece Rotors. Up front you have Baer 13 inch 2pc Rotors with Baer 2 piston PBR calipers. In the rear you have a 12-inch 2pc Baer Rotors with a single LS1 rear caliper.
Now for the truly amazing component that surely sets this 69 Camaro apart from all the others is the LS7 Block (Same block that comes in the 2006-2007 Corvette Z06) 427 cubic inch forged internal motor sporting an eagle crank, callies rods, wiseco pistons, federal and clevite bearings, hell fire rings, Patriot stage 3 heads with dual gold springs good to .650 lift, comp custom blower cam, ARP main studs, ARP 2000 rod bolts, ARP Head studs, LS6 Oil Pump, New LS2 Timing chain, New hardened pushrods, stock GM rockers topped of with a black anodized Kenne Bell 2.8L Supercharger with a polished plenum and polish inlet pipe. This motor will make 1000 Flywheel horsepower and put down 800+ to the rear wheels. Motor has hooker ceramic-coated headers, stainless steel custom built gas tank, polished electric water pump, Aftermarket black anodized valve covers with K&N breather and custom logo designs. A custom aftermarket radiator cools the engine with fans. The motor is backed by a Built stage 3 T56 6 speed manual tranny with a Spec stage 3 plus clutch and Spec flywheel with a custom length aluminum driveshaft. This car is in the final stages of completion and now is your chance to own a one of kind, guaranteed show winner, jaw dropper 69 camaro which we have all dreamed about since childhood. The car was painted PPG Ultra silver with a Satin Tail light panel and small Satin Stripes on each side of the cowl. Car was painted by Kellison Customs. Interior is wrapped in Custom Leather and hounds tooth with Corbeau front racing seats. Interior has a DSE dash and Autometer gauges and 5-point corbeau racing seat belts. BJ Motors in conjuction with Mizfit Motorsports will have more pictures posted when the build is complete.
